Our aim, when we began in 2005, was to build an architectural practice, which gave equal weighting to design, technology and delivery. 

‘A Troika is a vehicle drawn by horses all hitched equally abreast. Harnessing three horses abreast, increased stability and reduced strain on the individual animals. Our name reflects this aim for balance and equality in the process of building creation. 

Our philosophy has always been to enable the design to inform the detailing and the detail to reflect the design. Our mission is to allot equal value to all elements of the architectural process, ultimately combining in a successful building, no matter what the building type or size.

This has, over the years been reflected in our commissions, although we have done a large amount of Health and Care sector work, we have also delivered on a wide diversity of other projects. From supporting a contractor with an £20 M + stone detailed country residence in London, through many commercial building types down to helping a young family in a 1 Bedroom GF flat in Birmingham, successfully build a much needed extra bedroom and bathroom extension.  We believe that size does not matter, but happy clients do.
